Editorial Policy

BrellaFind publishes guides about decisions where bad information is costly. This page explains how our content is produced, reviewed and corrected.

Our publication workflow

Every guide moves through four states: Draft, Needs Review, Reviewed and Published. Only guides in the Published state are indexable by search engines or included in our sitemap. Anything earlier is marked on the page itself and carries a noindex directive.

  • Draft — outline and first pass, not publicly promoted.
  • Needs Review — complete draft awaiting accuracy, source and compliance review.
  • Reviewed — review complete, awaiting scheduling.
  • Published — live, indexable and listed in the sitemap.

How we source facts

Where a statement depends on external facts, we cite primary sources: Medicare.gov and CMS for Medicare, the Social Security Administration, the IRS and the Department of Labor for retirement and tax mechanics, the NAIC and state insurance departments for insurance, the SEC, FINRA and CFPB for financial services, and bar associations, courts and the Legal Services Corporation for legal information.

We do not cite other SEO content simply because it ranks, and we do not publish statistics we cannot trace to a primary source.

Professional review

Guides covering financial, Medicare, insurance and legal topics are eligible for review by an appropriately licensed professional. When a guide has been reviewed, the reviewer's real name, credentials and review date appear at the top of the page. If no reviewer is shown, the guide has not yet had professional review — we do not invent reviewers, credentials or review dates.

Updates and time-sensitive information

Guides display a visible last-updated date. Medicare and tax topics change annually, so those guides are flagged as time-sensitive and point to the official source for current figures. We deliberately avoid hard-coding rates, limits and government rules into page copy that cannot be updated easily.

Independence and how we make money

BrellaFind earns revenue when a consumer chooses to be connected with a professional or provider. Editorial guides are not written to favor any partner, and no partner pays for placement, coverage or a particular conclusion within a guide.

Corrections

If you find an error, tell us which page and what is wrong. Substantive corrections are made in the page and reflected in the last-updated date.
